How to start PowerPoint To start PowerPoint on your MacBook there should be an app on the applications bar in the shape of a p. If not found click the Launchpad and look for the same p.

Navigating through PowerPoint To get used to the new PowerPoint you need to learn about the toolbar The toolbar can help a lot with making your PowerPoint and presentation a lot more creative

Themes and Styles To use themes and styles there is a spot on your toolbar for it saying themes between the tables and home page You can change the theme such as changing color, fonts, and background color To do so just click one of the three and pick color. For fonts you need to highlight writing and before you change the font

How to print, open and save To save presentation in the top left corner of your desktop it says file click that and then save as… When you do that a box will pop up, title your presentation and put it in a specific folder and click save and from now on working on the presentation just click file again then save To open your presentation click finder in the bottom left corner Then you click the folder you saved it in and look for your PowerPoint title that you created, click it and then it will open to when you last saved To print your work you need to click file in the top left corner and select print when you click that a box should come up and fit it to scale select specific printer and everything you want. When you are done click print

How to use master slide Click themes on the PowerPoint toolbar and in the right corner it should say edit master. Click that and select the type of master slide you want to use in the presentation

How to access templates To access PowerPoint templates in the top left corner of the PowerPoint page under the minimize and plus there is a spot to add new templates When you click that select the template you want to use for your presentation

Working with text To change text size, color, and font Click format on the PowerPoint tool bar Highlight your text and click any of the font setting you want to change

How to add Clip Art/Multimedia To insert clip art you have to click home on the toolbar Go under the insert section and click the picture with the folded corner in the top right When you click that click on which way you want to get your picture or where to get it from You can also add other multimedia activities by selecting the other options under insert

How to change Backgrounds To change the background go under themes in the toolbar Go to the theme options section and click the pouring paint can that says background under it After you clicked that select the specific color you want to use for your background

How to add Chart and Smart Art To add chart and smart art click the charts or smart art tabs For charts click the charts tab and on the far left side under insert chart click all To add smart art select smart art tab on the PowerPoint toolbar To use smart art select click the certain sections to use for your PowerPoint

How to use animations/special effects To use animations/special effects select the animations tab on the PowerPoint toolbar One that is done select your type of animation and create it

How to Transition slides Click Transitions on the PowerPoint toolbar When selected apply your transition to a specific slide or select all slide to transition

Help settings If you need help on your PowerPoint presentation there is a setting for you that says “Help” and it is located on the toolbar of your computer When you click help just search anything or click one of the selected tabs for a help section

Why we use PowerPoint We use PowerPoint in the high school because it is a very efficient and creative way to get projects done. It helps students bring out there favorite styles and students can explore and find a lot about the new technology.
