Atlanta Chapter VP Elected Tim Romashko as replacement Chapter Vice President by vote of the officers. Position holds for remainder of term, until November Fresh elections for all officers will occur in September of 2015.

NTSB Case Drop Raphael Pirker, who had been docked $10,000 by the Federal Aviation Administration for using a drone to shoot a promotional video, won dismissal yesterday of the fine for reckless flying. An administrative law judge determined the FAA had no authority over small unmanned aircraft when it imposed the first-ever such fine on a drone operator.

NTSB Case Drop Case was specifically about reckless flying of Unmanned Systems. Judge ruled that FAA did not regulate small unmanned aerial systems flying under hobby restrictions. FAA Responded with Busting UAS Myths:
