Where Does the Time Go? There are ONLY so many hours in a day Are YOU in control of your time? Take the self-evaluation to determine how you use your time Review your answers Determine the amount of time each week spent

What is Time Management? Making the best use of your time Time management means managing yourself Understanding your current habits Setting realistic goals for yourself Dealing with large projects efficiently Finding ways to overcome procrastination Tips for getting organized

Ways to Get Control of Your Time Complete a time management sheet for one week Evaluate your self-evaluation sheet Create a schedule that works for you Start at 6:00 AM to Midnight Sunday thru Saturday

How to Schedule Classes Morning or Afternoon Monday/ Wednesday Monday/Wednesday/Friday Tuesday/Thursday Nights Hybrid (part face to face and part online) Face to Face or Online (Distance Learning) Short semester classes (8 week/4 week)

Proven Techniques To do list-check off accomplishments Ok to say NO and concentrate on college work Attend class, listen, take notes Start projects early Set goals, break down task into smaller parts Take advantage of holidays, fall breaks Determine best time to study (day or night) Eliminate distractions-TV, calls, s, texting, etc. 10 minute timer for tough assignments
