Tablet Rollout
Purpose of the Tablet Initiative -Virginia funded grant to ensure every student has technology accessible to them -Support virtual learning to ensure equitable learning opportunities -Increase SOL scores and graduation rate -Promote college and career readiness -Learn newest educational applications
Tablet Expectations -Bring your tablet to school every day. -Tablets may be used in study blocks for academic purposes only. -Keep tablet in case when not in use. -NEVER leave unattended. -See Chief Squad for tech support. -Report any damages or loss to CRS or LMS immediately. -DO NOT remove barcodes/labels. -No food or drink near the tablets. -Do not add any stickers to tablet.
Charging and Printing -Charge tablet every night using only the ASUS charger. -Tablet charges faster if OFF. -Do not allow tablet to go below a 25% charge. -A printing station is set up in the LMC: students may print in the LMC with permission
Content Keeper and Acceptable Use -Content Keeper is software that has been added to the tablets that will block inappropriate websites at school AND home. -Please remember that these tablets are school property. -Signed Acceptable Use Policy applies.Acceptable Use Policy -Tablets may be used at school with teacher permission.

Navigating the Tablet -SEARCH: Drag left for search, share, start, devices, settings, control panel Task - search for This PC, then access your H: drive Task - search for Word 2013 and open -START: Desktop version, Office, pin programs Task – Launch IE from Start Menu (tiles) then go to desktop and launch IE Task –locate the Student Shortcuts folder on your desktop
