As young citizens and soon to be (!!) adults in 21 st Century Britain you have the responsibility to uphold and promote the laws and values of our nation. You also have many freedoms and rights (see the document on the Human Rights Bill). Group A ‘sGroup B’s Create a detailed school policy and a guide for teachers on how to tackle Homophobic abuse and prejudice at TGS. Write an editorial article responding to the leader of the EDL following the Jeremy Paxman interview. Use your knowledge of Islam and reflections about the causes of prejudice and previous historical resolutions to help you.

Group A: “Prejudice is tackled well in British Society” Do you agree? Give reasons to explain your point of view. Group B: “Religious prejudice is the worst type of prejudice”. Do you agree? Give reasons for your answer, showing that you have thought about more than one point of view. Refer to religious arguments in your answer. (6 marks)
