How do you define Prejudice?  Would you know it if you saw it?  How would you react?  Would you intervene? WVASFAA 3

Prejudice What is Prejudice?  It is a system of negative beliefs, feelings, and action- orientations regarding a certain group or groups of people. WVASFAA 4

What does discrimination mean?  Have you ever felt discriminated against?  Have you ever witnessed someone being discriminated?  Do you think that you have ever discriminated against anyone? WVASFAA 5

Discrimination What is discrimination?  It is an action or practice of differential and unequal treatment of other groups of people, usually along racial, religious, age, physical attributes, or sexual orientation. WVASFAA 6

Prejudice and Discrimination- not just a Black and White issue  What group of people are most likely to receive prejudice and discrimination?  What role do you think, if any the media plays in prejudice and discrimination?  Do you think that certain groups play a role in the prejudice and discrimination that they receive?
