What SolarCool is…and what it is not

What is SolarCool? A thermodynamic collection system driven free by the Sun’s thermal energy. Achieving efficiencies of up to 70% on both inverter and multistage fixed speed compression systems, covering both Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (heating & cooling). The only renewable energy technology with a return on investment as low as a matter of months. SolarCool is not… …Solar PV. SolarCool requires minimal space and investment in comparison to Solar PV, and is a considerably more advanced technology in the art of reducing both on and off grid energy usage via renewable sources.

The general engineering make up the system is designed to produce fluctuating loads, subject to the systems requirement. Therefore when the load requirement is low, the compressor will logically run at low speed. Subsequently, when the ambient temperature increases and therefore load requirement is high, the system increases its load capacity, therefore substantially increasing the energy consumption of the compressor. Inverter & digital scroll systems The fact is - the hotter it gets, the harder this system works

When the load requirement is low, the stage system is designed to run on reduced compressor numbers (i.e. single stage), commanding additional stages as the load requires. Therefore as with fluctuating load systems, the hotter it gets, the load requirement from the system increases. In the case of multistage compression, additional compressors enter the phased platform to satisfy load demand. At this point, we have a distinct change in thermal energy. This in turn raises the internal energy (the sum of all microscopic kinetic and potential energy of the molecules), and the molecules start to move with a higher value of kinetic energy, which simply implies each molecule moves with a higher velocity than before. As the molecules collide with one another they rebound with higher energies, moreover intermolecular forces weaken and the molecules space out further which results in an increase volume flow…

Those who may be concerned how the condenser addresses any additional heat generated by SolarCool: First and foremost, the systems condenser is designed to manage the compressors running at full load. The reality is when the sun is in the sky (the time when most systems run at full load), SolarCool will ensure that all compressors virtually never run at full load. We actually want the heat from the solar panel, utilising the heat (temperature not pressure) we increase the gas molecules kinetic energy, hence increasing the mass volume flow, and additionally creating an improved Delta T therefore enhancing the efficiency of the heat exchanger (condenser). All Refrigeration and A/C systems are manufactured to a very specific design point, e.g. for A/C systems ISO This point sets the capacities for the compressor, condenser and all other parts.
