Egyptian Drawings Egyptian drawings have a couple of funny things Pharaohs always towered over everybody Egyptian artists believed that a flat perspective portrayed a people best Paintings were a type of magic, capable of animating in the afterlife. For the magic to work the artists had to follow clear-cut guidelines

Mummies Mummy-making was secretive business so when priests it open the body they carried it into a tent deep in the western desert. They washed the body and laid it on a table.A priest shoved a iron hook up the body's nose to remove the brain bit by goopy bit. After the brain is pulled out it is thrown away. The organs are pulled out, and the body is left to dry for forty days. Then the body is filled with spices rags and plants and wrapped in linen. Fact: There is a law against harming any Egyptians so the priests who mummified the body are chased away.

Egyptian Medicines In ancient Egypt there were many strange diseases, and with those strange diseases there were some weird cures. Onions were antibiotics. Willow leaves could be a source of aspirin Egyptians would also swallow whole mice to cure coughs When doctor were taking care of you they would mutter many spells to get rid of spirits. They might even rub croc poop on the you to prevent demons

Games In ancient Egypt there were a lot of games. Children got to play with balls, dolls, paint sets, toy boats and even pets like baboons and birds trained to pick fruit. Some other Egyptian games included hounds and jackals which is similar to the game chutes and ladders. A commonly played Egyptian game is senet played on a rectangular board.

Hieroglyphics Was it easy for you to learn your ABCs. In ancient Egypt you would write in hieroglyphics which instead of 26 letters you would use 700 pictures. One weird thing about hieroglyphics is that there are no vowels so we don't what ancient Egypt sounded like. We only figured out hieroglyphics when explorers found the four foot long and nearly weighing a ton Rosetta Stone which had Greek, hieroglyphics and demotic on it.

The End Hope you learned a lot about Egypt
