LA EDUCACIÓN PERMANENTE EN EUROPA Proyecto Sócrates Grundtvig 2 LA ENSEÑANZA DE UNA SEGUNDA LENGUA EN CONTEXTOS INTERCULTURALES

AIMS (General Objectives): - to affirm participants sense of their own cultural heritage - to create consciousness of the own cultural identity - to promote a tolerance of cultural diversity - to encourage social integration - to develop self-esteem and self-confidence through encouraging a multi-disciplinary approach to language learning

- to facilitate participants to develop or improve a proficiency in a foreingne language by providing appropriate communication skills and learning experiences. - to improve verbal interpersonal language communication by a multi-disciplinary approach (visit of local and regional monuments, craft/dance/theatre/music workshops, ethnic cooking, video/photography workshops, interaction with local Medias) - to meet the otherpartners (teachers and students) face to face. - to learn about cultural differences in Europe. ENVISAGED RESULTS/PRODUCTS Produce materials for language teachers for use in their own multi- cultural teaching situations (website, CD-ROM, video) Create a user-friendly, sustainable methodological model for use by interested parties
