A new Interdisciplinary Research Initiative The CEHD Centers for Interdisciplinary Research on Education and Human Development is being created to: Foster increased levels of interdisciplinary activity among already established centers and programs of research – CAREI, CEED, MCRR Serve as an incubator for new initiatives – STEM education and learning technologies Serve as a focal point of access for communication of the types, scope and range of research of CEHD to policymakers, community leaders, professionals, students, and families

Research with Impact The Institute Child Development has been ranked No. 1 in developmental psychology by U.S. News and World Report. Check & Connect, a proven K-12 dropout prevention program is being extended into community colleges for students at risk of disengaging from school. Tucker Center for Women and Girls in Sport is first to identify barriers to physical activity for East African immigrant girls.

Community Collaboration Inspiring parents, educating youth. Learning Dreams is built on the premise that actively supporting a culture of learning in homes and communities creates a foundation for students’ educational success.
