Some Historic Pics of Warwick and Stanthorpe Part 2 I’m imagining the walk on Sundays from St Catharine’s to St Mark’s and the buildings we passed I may have some in the wrong order! There are several pics of the statue of Mr Byrnes. It was always fun to see if he had a pie or an empty bottle in his hand or a hat or beanie on his head………….. Warwick was the first town on the Darling Downs established in 1849 on the banks of the Condamine River. The rich grazing land around the area supports horse and cattle studs, fine wool and grain.
