Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa During the British rule over India, Lokmaanya Tilak introduced the practice to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. He proposed so to promote unity amongst the Indians to fight for their freedom and free the country from the British Rule.

Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa The Britishers would not allow any celebration activity or function that would give the Indians a chance to be united. Lokmaanya Tilak had to conclude the celebration and introduce Ganesh Visaarjan to end the Ganesh Utsav. The Britishers agreed to allow this celebration to be conducted.

Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa The Ganesh Chaturthi was performed well during the British rule and it did serve dual purpose and got the Indians to get united to fight for their rights and win their freedom.

Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa Indians finally got its freedom from the British rule and the Indians got busy with their new freedom life. No one ever thereafter thought differently of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and that Ganesh visarjan need not be performed anymore.

Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa Should we be pleased when it is Ganesh Chaturthi time because it is so saddening to see what happens to all the lovely GANESHA idols within the next 10 days. Everyday, GANESHA idols are immersed one after another. HOW CAN WE SEE THIS HAPPENING ?

Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa The devotees dance when they bring Ganesha idols to their homes, streets, and dance when they immerse the very same idols. There is no difference in their emotions. They are happy to bring the idol and to equally happy to immerse them too.

Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa This Ganesh Utsav let us pray to GANESHA, place HIM in our heart, mind and soul. Download HIS image in your mind and you will not need any idol to worship ever.

Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa Instead of decorating the mandap, it is better if we use the same monies that we otherwise spend to decorate the mandap, to decorate some poor and needy’s house and give them good shelter arrangements ? That would be something to be proud of and GANESHA would be extremely PLEASED.

Ganpati Bappa Mauryaa Lord Shiva & Parvati, as parents blessed GANESHA with a boon that everyone will first pray to HIM before performing any Pooja, but when they see the devotees immersing their SON’s idols one after another every second day then they too would be upset, unhappy and annoyed as we would be should anybody ill treat our children. WAKE UP NOW – REALISE WHAT ARE WE ALL DOING ? THIS IS COMPLETELY WRONG AND SHOULD BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY.
