MONGOLE EMPIRE MAP Course: 426 Mohammad Ghuloum

Objectives To show the geographic extent of the Mongol Empire founded by Genghis Khan and conquered by his descendents and successor.

Materials Data were collected about the history of Mongol Empire from different Web sites. Software: – Adobe Iiustrator cs5 – Adobe Flash cs5 Action Script 3.0 – ArcMap 10

Methods Data collected for each period of the important parts of the Mongol Empire. ArcMap was used to copy maps Maps were copied in Adobe Illustrator. Layers were designed and overlaid. Designed into an animated flow map.

Problems I had problems in assigning the colors for the geographic land extent conquered in each period. This problem was solved by copying different maps and then overlaying them to get the color exactly on the outer border of lands opened at that period of time.

Results The era of Genghis Khan 1206 – 1294

Results Chagatai Khanate

Results Golden Horde from Most of Eastern Europe

Results II-Khanate from Persia, Azerbaijan, Turkey

Results Yuan Dynasty from Northern China
