To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom,… to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers… 1 Corinthians 12:8-10

What is a Miracle? A miracle is a less common kind of God's activity in which he arouses people's awe and wonder and bears witness to himself. (Grudem)

What is the purpose of miracles? To authenticate the Gospel message (John 3:2) To help those in need (Matt 14:14) To bring glory to God (Matt 9:8)

Do miracles occur today? ____ YES ____

Does healing still occur today? ____ YES ____

Is it right to seek the gift of healing? ____ YES ____

If I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2

And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:28

Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. 1 Corinthians 14:1

Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. James 5:14-15

Is it right to seek healing? ____ YES ____

Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. Acts 4:29-30

Is it always God’s will to heal? ____ NO ____
