A comparison of two cars I would like to own: Presented by: Keely Lockwood Project 15: Buying Your First Car 1/10/11 a Ford Escape Hybrid 2010 and a BMW X5 2010

vs. Ford EscapeBMW X5 Comparison

Let’s Look At the Ford Escape Hybrid 2010 I am considering buying this car for many reasons. The Ford Escape Hybrid is very eco-friendly. It is a hybrid, so it hurts the environment less than other cars and requires less gasoline. Its seats are made of 100% post-industrial materials, which creates an Earth-friendly material. The cushions use a foam made from the oils of soybeans. The car is better for the environment than most, so that is my main reason of interest.

Safety Features of the Ford Escape Hybrid 2010 The safety rating of the Ford Escape Hybrid is pretty good. Below are some of the important safety features this car has: Safe interior: front crumple zone and side-door intrusion beams o Dual-stage front airbags including protection coverage for driver and front passenger  6 standard airbags  Safety Canopy System: side curtain airbags  Side view mirrors with integrated spotter mirrors to prevent blind spots

Rear-view camera Hybrid: electrically propelled DVD headrest system These features are important to have in a car because my family loves listening to music and having a variety available. The navigation system is very good and provides much more than just directions. It parks for the driver and also keeps the car in control. The hybrid car is electrically propelled, therefore not requiring as much gasoline, and it also has a rear-view camera.

Now let’s look at the BMW X I am considering buying the BMW X5 because it is supposed to be a very safe car. It has features that will protect the interior of the car. I also really like the way the car looks in both the interior and exterior. The car is very comfortable because of the nice seats it provides. It also has a great sound system with many channels and amazing sound for the passengers.

Safety features of the BMW X5 xDrive35i The safety rating of the BMW X5 is pretty good as well. Below are some of the important safety features this car has: In emergency situations, the car contacts help and provides critical information such as the vehicle’s position and the type of accident. The dashboard projects data on to the windshield directly in the driver’s vision to prevent looking down while driving. Active Cruise Control: maintains the desired speed while on the highway and reduces the speed when another car enters the area. Radars and cameras monitor lane changes Bi-xenon headlights help see everything and everything can see you.
