Welcome Back AssemblyWelcome Back Assembly Quickly get to the North gym and sit in assigned sections. South classes should use the outside South gym entrance to enter the gym. Freshmen – East Balcony Sophomores – West Balcony Juniors – Eastside gym floor Seniors – Westside gym floor

Why do we have assemblies?  Our school is so large that it’s easy to lose track of what makes us special  Students are the real reason why our school is great; assemblies are a way to honor the great things students do in and out of the classroom  Assemblies are a great way to build a sense of community and school spirit

How can you show PRIDE during assemblies?  Show enthusiasm and school spirit  Listen and participate at appropriate times  Show respect during National tributes by standing quietly

Ask yourself…Ask yourself…  How would you feel if your friend/team/club was being recognized?  How would you want the audience to behave?  How do you want visitors to view David Douglas High School?

Remember…  Every assembly is packed with announcements and activities, which must happen in a short amount of time  Assemblies are a privilege  Assemblies are opportunities to show your school and class spirit in a fun, positive way

New StadiumNew Stadium  Our new facility is a place to be proud of  It is a place for our student-athletes and the David Douglas spirit to thrive  It is a place to welcome visiting teams, parents and community members

New Facility = New Traffic FlowNew Facility = New Traffic Flow To make our new facility a fun place to be for everyone, there are some new guidelines to follow.  The student section is just for you! A place to gather in school colors, show school spirit, support our team and look impressive to our visitors  There is a new traffic flow during our games  The main grandstand walkway and the area around the concessions stand must be kept clear, so it is not the place to stop and talk

Student SectionStudent Section Student Section is here.

Entering and Exiting the Student Section Use stairs here to enter and exit this section any time before, during and after the game. Students may also hang out here in the overflow section.

Entering and Exiting the Student Section Use the stairs and the special, game-time walkway in front of the stadium instead of walking in front of community members in the main grandstands. walkway

Entering and Exiting the Student Section Use the student walkway in front of the grandstands when making your way to the student section from the concession area. Path to Student Section Path to Adult Section

Concessions StandConcessions Stand Use the concessions stand, but continue to move back to your section once you have your items. You will be asked to move if you hang out in the area for too long.

Expectations for DD Students  Pack the designated student section in school colors  Follow traffic pathways to restrooms and concessions stand  Display Scots’ PRIDE

Show Scots’ PRIDE at football games  PARTICIPATE by wearing school colors, staying involved in the game and cheering at appropriate times  RESPECT our facility and other students, visitors and community members at the game by using positive language, practicing safe behaviors and keeping your area clean  Display INTEGRITY by following the rules, staying in designated areas and following traffic flow correctly  Value DIVERSITY by accepting others and being kind to visitors  Show EXCELLENCE by setting a good example and representing DDHS with class

GO SCOTS!
