High Tide/ Low Tide Gallegos Elem. Science/Tech. Dept.

Tides are the rising or lowering of the ocean levels caused by the Moon’s gravity. Each tide lasts around 6 hours. Remember. Tides are not waves.

The Moon’s gravity lifts the oceans of the Earth causing high tides and low tides. Gravitational Pull Oceans Moon Earth

When the Moon’s gravity causes a high tide on one side of the Earth. The opposite side of the Earth will also experience a high tide. Gravitational Pull Oceans Moon Earth

Daily there are 2 high tides and 2 low tides on Earth. Gravitational Pull Oceans Moon Earth

There is 1 high tide and low tide in the morning. Low Tide

There is another high tide and low tide in the evening. High Tide
