 BS and MS in Math (UNR)  Student taught at McQueen in 1993  Began teaching here in 1994  Taught here from 1994 – 2007  Took a little break  Couldn’t stay away present  Seventeen years at McQueen  As long as I am teaching, McQueen is where I will be.  Once a Lancer, always a Lancer!

 Assigned daily  Graded on accuracy not completion  Corrections are allowed throughout the week  Usually homework is collected on Fridays

 A homework pass can be used to turn in a late assignment for full credit.  A hall pass can be used when the student needs to leave the room.  If these passes are not used, they are worth extra points at the end of the semester.

 I am available during lunch on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays.  Please don’t hesitate to me. This is the best way to communicate. 

 This is my website where you can find guided notes, study guides, and a list of all assignments.

 If you wish to receive text reminders about upcoming quizzes and tests for your student then text to (702) ◦ Please only text if you want these reminders. Most students have already subscribed.

 Each semester, I honor a trig student who has deserved to be recognized for his/her success in trig.  This TRIG STAR receives ten extra test points as well as a special treat and a verbal or written description of qualities.

Students can earn math bucks to “save” in their Triggy Bank. At the end of the semester, one bank with five math bucks is worth one extra homework pass. Math bucks can be earned for asking important questions, participating, volunteering answers, coming to class early, working cooperatively, etc.

 Quizzes: 15%  Tests: 65%  Homework: 5%  Final Exam: 15%

 I teach because I believe this is what I was meant to do.  I love the kids. I love my subject area.  As long as I have this connection and passion, I will be teaching.  I believe I can touch the life of each one of my students and I know that each one of them has something different to contribute to my classroom. I have a choice and my choice is to teach.

 Fundraiser for the Math Dept.  Fun  Prizes  Bring the whole family!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!  Doors open at 5:30, first game at 6.
