Machu Piccu was believed to be a royal retreat for, well royalty. Its were the Incas raised their kingdom, and then were destroyed by conquistadors.

The Paracas culture was an important Andean society.Recogni zed for their textiles,

Trepanation and Craniotomy was a common practice in this Culture, not only for medical reasons but for religion too

Paracas Mummies Mummy boundless were buried in a large underground Necropolis, they were placed in a seating position and covered with cotton cloth and decorated fabrics in a basket

Chavin Culture An important factor of the Chavin Culture is its art, metallurgy and textile production. The Tummy is a good example, it is a sacred knife used in sacrifices.

Conquer of The Empire Inca Francisco Pizarro set out for the Incas Empire. He quickly captured the emperor, Atahualpa. The Incan people paid a huge ransom in silver and gold and jewels but he was still killed.

Tupac Amaru In 1780, a revolt against the Spanish was lead by Tupac Amaru, who claimed to be descended of the last Incas. The revolt failed.

1921 General Don Jose de San Martin captures Lima from Spanish and proclaims Peru independent
