Problems facing Modern Africa…

What are the major problems Africa faces today? Africa has three major types of problems, that are combining to keep them from reaching their full social, political, and economic development. They are: 1. Political 2. Economic 3. Health

What are the health problems of Africa?

Health Problems…. * HIV/AIDS- The deadliest disease in Africa. Malaria- A disease spread by mosquitoes that can lead to death without vaccination. The amount of pollution in Africa makes it easier to get sick. The literacy rate in these countries is very low. Thus, there aren’t enough Drs to go around. Because Literacy rate is low, that means GDP is low, so there is not enough medicine to go around either.

What are the Economic Problems of Africa?

Economic Problems…. Suffer from an extremely low literacy rate. Thus, their Standard of Living and GDP are lower. Many Africans live in Poverty. Poverty means they are unable to financially obtain the things they need to survive. Bad economies mean there is inadequate infrastructure- transportation, hospitals, schools, factories, government offices, stores, etc The average wage for a person living in suburban Africa is less than $1 a day.

What are the government problems in Africa?

Government Problems…. The governments in Africa have been very unstable since they won their independence from Europe. Many countries are constantly at war with each other. Mainly, it is the ethnic groups fighting each other. Because governments are unstable, they are unable to control the economy or healthcare or Education of their country. Thus, European Colonization leads to bad government, which leads to bad economies, which lead to bad healthcare systems.
