TRAINING AND OPERATIONS PERFORMANCE SYSTEM (TOPS)

TOPS Training and Operation Performance System

TOPS- TRAINING OPERATOR PERFORMANCE SYSTEMS Dynamic Simulator for virtual operation experience of the plant without risking actual equipment. Up to date procedures for the safe and proper operation of the plant under different conditions. Training with procedures and guidelines with simulator at various transients. Performance evaluation.

TOPS- DESIGN TOPS Training Simulator – Designed to Familiarize operators with normal operating procedures. Educate operators to respond effectively during units upsets. Refresh senior operators knowledge. Evaluate and enhance operation performance.

TOPS- TRAINING SIMULATOR Dynamic Plant Model Detail Process Simulation TOPS Instructor Station Run Stop Freeze Resume Save Snapshots Restore Snapshots Training Scenarios Pre-programmed Testing Evaluation Link to operation procedures

TOPS- FUNCTIONS Pre-defined Training Scenarios Run/Re-Run Training Sessions Practice Test Sessions Testing and Grading Base on Critical Parameters Evaluation Reports Save Test Scenarios

THINK TM -TOPS ENHANCES OPERATIONAL AWARENESS TOPS trains operators to regularly scan critical parameters. Operational awareness of critical parameters is vital to minimize upsets and trips as well as controlling major system failures. Incorporate developed procedures on simulator training.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION Operators can be evaluated on their response actions and times using TOPS testing scenarios. These grades can be on normal operations or on significant system upsets. Grades be trended and analyzed to determine the level of improvement over time.

THINK TM -TOPS OPERATOR TRAINING TRANSLATES TO SYSTEM RELIABILITY Q&A PP3 Increased exposure to procedures interactively on TOPS Simulator, and how they are to be followed can significantly reduce operator errors. Through various scenario trainings, the ability to spot issues that will affect the plant operation can be enhanced resulting in improved the overall system reliability. More experience in finding root causes of operation issues.

FROM SIMULATION TO ACTUALIZATION  Learn the systems and their interactions through hands on operation and with one another.  Practice the operation procedures on the simulator to develop operational expectations.  Training scenarios and testing base on critical parameters.  Acquire the experience to spot process problems early due to critical parameter deviations.
