Heart Fit Test This Heart-Fit test is a 10 minute program designed to evaluate cardio fitness by measuring heart rate recovery. The user’s average and maximum heart rate is recorded throughout the 10 minute interval test.

Intelli-Fit™ Buttons used in the Heart-Fit Test program Heart-Fit Test Fit-Key Pause/Clear Enter Up and Down Arrows The Pause/Clear button can be used any time during exercise to pause the program or to end it. More

Heart Fit Test To Start: 1. Press the More button on the first screen. 2. Press the Heart-Fit Test Button 3. Press Enter There are instructions at the top of the console to guide you through the steps of establishing a program.

Heart Fit Test Heart Rate monitor is required for this program to work! 4.Choose your level using the up and down arrows: Beginner Intermediate Advanced Sports Performance 5. Press Enter If the user is unsure of their fitness level, the Beginner level is recommended.

Heart Fit Test 6. Select user weight using the up and down arrows. The weight ranges from 20 lbs – 550 lbs*. If you press and hold the arrow button, the weight will adjust in 10 lb increments. Default weight is 150 lbs. 7. Press Enter 8. Press Start *Please see product specs for total user weight capacity. Maximum weight will be dependent on which model is used.

Warm-up The first phase of this test consists of a 3 minute warm up. Example: The beginner’s test warm-up: 1 st minute: 60 watts 2 nd minute: 75 watts 3 rd minute: 90 watts The stage and time countdown is on the right hand side of the screen.

Best Effort After the warm-up begins the 5-30 second sprint and recovery intervals. It is important for the user to maintain the same RPM throughout the test. Please see target RPM chart to use as a guideline for each product type. During the red stage user will be instructed to use their best effort. The time counts down in 30 second intervals.

Recovery The green stage is the heart rate recovery mode and counts down in second intervals. The watts are reduced significantly and total recovery time is 2.5 minutes.

Cooldown The cool down lasts 3 minutes and is not counted in your test results. Your test results will appear 6 seconds into your cool down mode. The Heart-Fit test results show peak heart rate, average watts, calories and the heart rate recovery score. The recovery score is the average number of beats the user’s heart drops during the recovery intervals.

Save Results At this time, you can save your results on a USB flash drive via the Fit-Key port. Simply plug your key in and press save results.

After completion of this test, the user is now ready for Heart-Fit training (see Heart-Fit Training for complete details and instruction). It is suggested that the user perform the Heart-Fit test periodically to engage progress. The user can re-test at any time. The user will see improvement when their heart rate recovery score has increased. It is recommended that a 30% improvement in the heart rate recovery score be achieved before moving to the next level within Heart-Rate training. Use these programs together

Plug the key into your computer and the results are shown as below

Fan There is a fan built in to the console allowing 3 speeds at low – medium – high and can be used at any time during your exercise. Press ‘Fan’ button on your far right. Press fan button 1, 2 or 3 times to select your desired speed. On the 4 th press, it turns the fan off.
