O BJECTIVES Introduce Survey Monkey as a Digital Tool Explain the features that may be used by students and instructors Demonstrate how to Create a survey using Survey Monkey

W HAT IS S URVEY M ONKEY ? Survey Monkey is an online survey builder. Its ability to analyze data through various graphs is a useful way to engage students in how historians construct questions and use data to inform historical thinking. Using Survey Monkey as an instructional tool is a great way to engage students in curriculum development.

F EATURES FOR E DUCATIONAL USE Schedule a meeting or group project Pre-test or pre-class survey Post-class survey Assessment of background knowledge Evaluations (student, teacher, presenter, etc.)
