The Making of Chez Kristo

The Making Of Chez Kristo Voices of Africa has come from far since the beginning of this year, the journey has not been easy but through Gods mercy and your support we were able to rescued more than 20 streets kids from the streets where they were being harassed and arrested by the police, at the beginning the kids slept at the roof of voices of Africa offices because we had not raised enough money to rent a house for them, we had weekly Sunday lunches for them, after a few weeks we rented a 4 bedroom house for them on the rocks near the beach (kristo chez), gave them daily meals, clothes and shoes and Education. While the boys have been at our place, thanks to your support we where able to plant seeds within the shamba and grow food, the 5 natural springs have been utelised by putting water collection points where clean spring water is avaliable. This basic education taught them the importance of having access to food, water and shelter within the realities of life. We thank everyone for offering their support and love

Serengeti Lotus Bell Lodge site

Lotus Belle Lodge The Lotus Belle Lodge site is located at the gate entrance to the Serengeti. We hope to cater for back packers through our tents and our campsite, and to cater for tourists who have been visiting the Serengeti. There will be 3 stages of development within this project. The first stage will set up the infrastructure, to catering capacity. This includes construction of a LOTUS BELLE shaped building 3 stories tall, with the ability to have 360 degree views from top and a windmill on top. There will be a restaurant on the ground and middle floors along with a gift store. The 10 tents will be located from the main building with a building for showers and compost toilets. There will be a car park created and people leaving cars long time will be charged. A cecil fence will surround the whole 8 acres. After 6 months in stage 2, there will be enough food to cover for 25% of the food consumed from the restaurant. Stage 2 will see the beautification of the 8 acres with irrigation supporting the growing of the plants from a green house. A few cows and goats and chickens can be kept for use. Stage 3 will have more tents purchased with the profit of the tourist season. These tents will go straight away into use, increasing capacity of lodge guests. People from the program will be able to bennefit from the logistics of the construction of the lodge, we are planning to empower the boys with employment through out the construction and running of the Lotus Belle Lodge.
