Step 2- The Collage Clip Ads from the newspaper and make a collage. Use Excel to keep track of income and expenses Due: March
Step 3 – Your interview Find someone who has the same career as the one you are interested in. Someone you know – conduct a face to face interview Someone you don’t know – phone or will be fine Include interview questions and responses in written report. Interview set up by March 18 Interview finished/typed up by March 23
Step 4 – Written Report Include Step 1 Include Step 3 Include spreadsheet from Step 2 Feelings of career after you researched it Bibliography page Due: April 3 with final portfolio
Step 5 – The Power Point 15 slides of information from Step 1 Pictures for career Dress up in correct job attire. Due: March 30, 31 Presentations will be conducted in class.
Step 6 – Your Official Job Interview Dress appropriately Answer interview questions Bring all required materials –Cover Letter –Resume Job application and Application letter need to be turned in THE DAY BEFORE your scheduled interview. March 25 Cover letter, resume, and job interview on March 26, 27
Due Dates - Deadlines Final Portfolio with all completed assignments is Due: April 3 before you leave for spring break. Research done, written up, and sources cited by: March 19 Career Interview due: March 23 Job application, letter of application: March 25 Job Interviews start on March 26 and 27 (Cover letters and resumes need to be completed and handed to your interviewer.) Ad Collage Due: March 27 Presentations start on March 30, 31, April 1 (Power Points needs to be done by then)
