Doña Ana Community College Addition Group B: Eric Navarro Jose Nunez Miguel Torres Angel Morales Luis Elias

Doña Ana Community College Each year the enrollment increases so in order to meet this demand they need to expand the facilities.

The objective of this project is to create an addition for the Doña Ana Community college in the border community. The Project

Job Site Location: 1700 East O'Hara Rd. (Anthony Gap)

Job Site The addition will take place here: 3 Classrooms Computer lab 3 Offices 2 Bathrooms 2 Storages

Design

 Fabrication of tilt-up building walls Concrete Tilt-Up Panels

Tilt-up can be consider as a simple supported beam. Pw= 20 psf. H= 16 ft. H Total = 19 ft. Length will vary.

SUSTAINABLE BUILT DESIGN  Insulated windows  Insulation boards (WALLS)  Insulation boards (ROOF)  Water storage tank

Insulated Windows  Low-E windows  Reduce energy Cost 25% to 50%  Increase confort levels.  Eliminate hot and cold spots  Reduce noise up to 70%

Insulation Boards (WALLS)  Energy Saver  Insulates any part of the building  Good thermal resistance  Reduces heat conduction  R19

Insulation Roof Boards  Heat insulation, waterproof, fireproof  Less smoke and harmful gas  Chemical resistance  Wide temperature limit  R30

Water Storage Tank Advantages:  Independent water system  Gather water for recycling  Irrigation purposes
