Teacher Information  Subject: Mathematics  Grade level: First  Summary: The purpose of this power point is to allow the student to practice word problems and find the correct answers.  Objective: Given a word problem the students will be able to ad and subtract to find the correct answer with 90% accuracy.  Standard: CCSS.Math.Content.1.OA.A.1 Use addition and subtraction to solve word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using drawings, objects, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
