Mrs. Robledo

My name is Mrs. Robledo and I am so happy to be your new teacher! Our class is going to have a great year together in 2nd grade.

I love to teach 2nd grade because the students are so much fun! I’ve been teaching at Hutto Elementary School for 3 years. I have also taught 1st grade in Houston for 2 years before I started teaching here.

Here’s a picture of me when I was in 2nd grade just like you! Back then, I loved to play tag at recess, read books and play with my brother’s G.I. Joes. My family didn’t have a computer yet. We had a land line phone and NO cell phones! Can you believe that?

I have a BIG family! I have 3 brothers, 3 sisters, Mom, stepdad, Dad and stepmom. I am the 2 nd oldest of 7. Yes, 7! This is a picture of all of my siblings and I at Christmas.

My older brother, Josh, has 3 kids: You’ll hear me talk about my nieces and nephew a lot. Evan (8), Emma (5), Maddie (1). This is a pic of my husband Eddie with them. Eddie and I have been married for almost 4 years. He is a manager at Dave & Buster’s in Austin where we live.

I don’t have any pets, yet, but I am super excited to own a few dogs once we move into our house in September. This is me with my stepmom’s dog “Hondo”.

When I am not teaching, I love to go explore the outdoors. This is a picture of when my sister, Whitney and her husband Jordan came to visit this summer. We went stand-up paddle boarding! It was so much fun! I also love going to the movies and reading. I am a big Houston Texans football fan and watch every Sunday!

Some of the places that I have visited within the last few years include: Las Vegas, Hawaii, and my dream for so many years was to go to New York City. Eddie and I went last December when it snowed! It was magical!

I love to read! Some of my favorite children’s books include: “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” by Kate DiCamillo (which we’ll read this year), “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss and Harry Potter.

I love superhero movies. While I love all superheroes…my favorite is Batman! This sticker is on my laptop at home. Wouldn’t it be cool to drive the Batmobile?

I love to joke around, be silly and dance to have fun! This is a picture of my sister and I being silly at Dave and Buster’s!
