Earth Science Ancestry By: Nikhil, Adolfo, and Roland

Nikhil’s Geologic Feature (Himalayas in India)  The reason why I chose the Himalayas is because I am Indian. The Himalayas are covering the entire northern part of India. The reasons why people are so interested and fascinated by the Himalayas are because of the Hindu pilgrim routes and the lovely people of the mountains with their unique hospitable lifestyles. 

Geological Event Nikhil went through first hand  My family and I went to Niagara Falls three summers ago and I picked it because this is a geologic event because no one made it and it is considered a natural landmark. The Niagara Falls falls from the stream which people get attracted to. 

The California Earthquake  In California the earthquake destroys many buildings. The reasons for earthquakes are because of some plate tech tonics. Now people use steel foundations for buildings for safety and limited damage.

Roland’s Home Town Geological features  I’ve Used Lake Michigan Because I am From Both Michigan and Illinois Which Both are connected by this lake

Roland’ First hand Experience of a Geological Event  2006 In Springfield I was Visiting Family then a storm started and was followed by a tornado.  It Caused Huge Amounts of Wreckage and Money  It blew Down Several house on the block

Hawaii Tsunami  It Caused a Multitude of Damage and Destruction  And People Became More Aware
