Open Science Centre (Warsaw University) Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling realized some projects: Open science portal - Open the book – digital archive CEON repository for Poland (central one) PROMOTION and expertise: lobbying in the Ministry of Science, in 2011 they prepared report for government, referring to the capability of the implementation of the OA publishing model in Poland now build information platform for the science sector – SYNAT and agregator for repositories.
Creative Commons Polska Initiated in 2005, since 2007 operates within ICM Warsaw University. It promotes openess in Poland and encourages the use of CC licenses – thanks to them 362 objects are now available in Polish digital libraries under CC. Librarians cooperate very close with this organization, take a part in their conferences, advise each to the other on copyright, implement joint projects, create common events and prepare together a few recomendations for Polish government. Direct from this organization grew Digital Poland Project - digital think & do tank fostering the digital dimension of public issues. Coalition for Open Education Polish Coalition for Open Education Polish Coalition for Open Education is an agreement of non-governmental organisations and institutions working in the field of education, science and culture. The goal is to build its operation, promotion and activism on behalf of Open Educational Resources understood as materials available in an open way which guarantees their recipients freedom to use, redistribute and remix the content and make derivative works. It has strong voice in public consultation process concerning legislation change in education and science, its training activities and creating network of openness activists around Poland is very known and appreciated.
