+ Issues Facing the Museum In reevaluating the SWOT analysis several issues were identified; Lack of Awareness by greater OKC area and community organizations such as schools Funding Issues Location and Parking Limited Staffing Limited Web Presence Underdeveloped Internal Communications
+ Issues to Address in PR Campaign: Raising Awareness Many OU students and Community members are not aware an art museum exists on campus. Those who are aware of the museum’s existence are not fully aware of the services the museum provides such as; Free Admission Free, Quality Programs Volunteer Opportunities Facilities available for Rental
+ Goals Promote awareness of the museum’s existence, the variety of services it offers to both OU Students and the community at large, and increase exposure of the Fred Jones Jr Museum of Art brand by generating and distributing a variety of print and multimedia marketing.
+ Objectives Three objectives were identified for the campaign. Develop print and multimedia advertisements to promote the museum brand Develop interactive experiences with art through creative programming and contests Promote personal connections with the museum’s user community through utilizing social media
+ Defining the Audience In order to increase awareness of the FJJMOA and expand the brand of the FJJMOA as more than a museum we will; Develop both print and multimedia advertisements that target specific demographics including; The OU Student. The growing family. The potential donor or patron of the arts.
