Thanksgiving Day Adrián Masa Ogando, 4ºB

In 1492 Colombus discovered America

In 1620 there was an English expedition of about 150 pilgrims to conquer North America. The ship was called Mayflower

They made a settlement on east coast called Plymouth Rock. There, they found natives that didn’t know how to speak English.

They met Squanto, a native fisherman who knew English because he was a slave in England.

The natives showed them how to build and how to plant.

The Englishtook the harvest that they planted before, and made a big dinner with the natives. This is the origin of Thanksgiving Day.
