The progressive forms refer to a continuing or ongoing action. present progressive: I am waiting. past progressive: I was waiting. future progressive: I will be waiting. present perfect progressive: I have been waiting. past perfect progressive: I had been waiting. future perfect progressive: I will have been waiting.
