SCHOOL AS A TRIP OR JOURNEY TRIPJOURNEY

RELIGION AS A TRIP OR JOURNEY RELIGION AS A TRIPRELIGION AS A JOURNEY Religion is finding simple answers to life’s complex questions. Religion gives definitive answers and facts and simple questions. Religion involves learning the expected and the predictable Religion is asking, “What am I supposed to believe?” Religion focuses on obedience and submission to authority’ Religious language is highly philosophical and doctrinal. (i.e. Creed) Strength: Community Centred Weakness: Loss of Personal Self Religion is discovering more questions as life is lived. Religion is a life-long search. Religion is waiting on the unexpected. Religion is looking at life with a new and fresh perspective. Religion focuses on conscience and personal free will. Religious language involves storytelling.(i.e. Parables) Strength: Personal Responsibility Weakness: Self Centred, Individualistic Note: A healthy faith life must be a balance between both seeing and living your religion/faith as both trip and journey.
