 A carnival is held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, during the second week of February with fancy-dress parades and musicians.  The immensely exciting Fiesta de San Fermin, or the Running of the Bulls, is held in Pamplona early in July.  The feast of El Pilar is held in Zaragoza, Aragon  Barcelona's festival of La Merce, patron saint of the city, takes place around September 24. And more..

During this event, people gather in the Valencian town of Buñol, participants throw tomatoes and get involved in this tomato fight purely for fun.

1. The tomatoes have to be squashed before throwing to avoid injuries.  2. No other projectiles except tomatoes are allowed.  3. Participants have to give way to the truck and lorries.  4. The festival doesn't allow ripping off T- Shirts.  5. After the second shot indicative of ending the tomato hurl, no tomatoes should be thrown.
