USING MOODLE TO CREATE ONLINE COURSES FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS Cheryl Usher Cherokee County School District

We are very excited this year to offer participants an app for the conference. The app contains the entire program!

THE FIVE WS FOR USING MOODLE This session will cover the 5 W's for using the Moodle Online Learning Management System as one alternative to create engaging online digital learning courses for students or for teacher professional development.

WHAT IS MOODLE? Moodle is a free – open source learning. There are no licenses. Online Learning Management system (LMS) Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)

WHY USE MOODLE? Georgia Senate Bill 289 Digital Learning Act requires school systems beginning in , to give every 3 rd -12 th grade student the opportunity to enroll in part and/or full-time virtual instruction. Georgia Senate Bill 289 Senate Bill 289 all requires all 9 th grade students to take at least one online course before graduation beginning in The bill would also require schools to give all end-of-course assessments online starting in Ease of access and use for students and instructors.
