New England: Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island. Middle Colonies: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware. Southern Colonies: Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia.

New England: Ocean, fishing, whaling, trapping, shipbuilding, logging. Middle Colonies: Numerous kinds of crops, oats, augers, gimlets, and braces. Southern Colonies: Farming, middling, and gentry.

 Family life in the 1700s is much different than life we have today.  Back then, they had horses & carriages, cans & string for phones, and different clothes than today.  Now, we have computers, cellphones, cars, internet, television, and clothes stores so you don’t have to knit all of your clothes.
