PROBLEM: TUMORS

HYPOTHESIS LIMONENE IN ORANGE PEELS PREVENTS THE GROWTH OF TUMORS IN OUR BODY.

AIM USING LIMONENE TO PREVENT GROWTH OF TUMORS IN OUR BODY.

LIMONENE Limonene is a chemical found in the peels of citrus fruits and in other plants. It is used to make medicine. It is a carbon-based compound that makes up about 95% of the oil in orange peel.

EXTRACTION OF LIMONENE The peels of oranges is boiled in water and the oil produced (limonene) distilled in steam at a temperature below 100 o C, the immiscible can then be separated.

limonene encourages the natural detoxification process of the liver and also to fight cancer. “limonene increases the liver enzymes that aid detoxification and appears to inhibit tumors in the stomach, lung and breast tissue”.

In this way limonene prevents and also reduces growth of tumors in our body.
