Aims … aimed to …  stimulate the recognition of skills & learning by young people through participation in youth work activities,  enhance the social recognition of youth work in society (by schools, employers)  raise the visibility of youth work and its recognition within and outside the youth sector

Programme … consisted of …  Political updates about the im- portance of recognition of youth work  Defining key terms in recognition  Exchange of good practices of validation  Discussing the needs of different stakeholders towards recognition  Debating controversial issues in the field and giving recommendations for the future

Participants … invited …  120 participants (and 12 staff)  of which 45 speakers & facilitators …  and 28 reporters + 1 general rapporteur. 8 representatives from the Educational Sector 6 people from the Labour Market 29 YOUTH National Agencies 6 SALTO-YOUTH colleagues 41 Youth Organisations or Youth Trainers 30 Policy Makers (European, National, Local)

Virtual Participation … took also place online … … at … via … and via web cam …  Appr 40 new members in the virtual community  Appr 1350 visitors to the Virtual Community in the month before Bridges (compared to appr 320 visitors/month otherwise)  11 background documents from the SALTO Bridges site were downloaded 1110 times in the run-up to Bridges  19 people followed parts of Bridges via WebCam
