During World War II  Migration of war workers was at full tide  In the Puget Sound area, the amount of manufacturing products was five times greater than the country  Seattle enlisted a large amount of soldiers to participate in WWII

Role Washington Played  Washington State produced more war materiel per capita than anywhere else in the country  During World War II, Seattle was the point of departure for many soldiers in the Pacific  Washington had many stationary and training bases
