Why donate?

There are many ways to explain what the Peace Corps does. Basically, people volunteer their time to help striving countries with various things. From building bridges, to teaching schools, the peace corps do everything and anything they can to help the communities they are stationed in.

As you can see, the numbers of volunteers are pretty high. This is only in Asia, Central America, and Mexico. There are many more countries that volunteers serve in, and the numbers are adding up every year.

There are various reasons that the Peace corps do what they do. Usually it is based around getting the needs met of people. For example, in America the access to clean water is almost never an issue. For some, you have to walk miles just to get what average Americans think as a “basic need”. Even then, the water isn’t always the cleanest.

There are hundreds upon hundreds of projects going on every single day. Things we take for granted, and that are offered to us, aren’t always the case for others. To get those basic needs, like almost everything, needs money. To start a school, to build a playground, or even get electricity. The peace corps is very thankful for all the donations given, but there is still more to change. There is still more needed to make a difference in not only one village or country, but many.
