Acts 1:8 (pg 778)
To be a good witness for Christ requires a bold LOYALTY to God.
“At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, ‘Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. But all this
has taken place that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.’ Then all the disciples left him and fled.” Matthew 26:55-56 Matthew 26:55-56
“On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews…” John 20:19a John 20:19a
“Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.” Mark 16:14 Mark 16:14

“Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone; the day is
at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual
immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.” Romans 13:11-14
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and
godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ…” Titus 2:11-13 Titus 2:11-13
“The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self- controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a
multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.” 1 Peter 4:7-9 1 Peter 4:7-9
