Racism in the Czech Republic

Racism X Discrimination What is racism? = a social groups which are divided according to racial characteristics and differences -> superiority or inferiority of the race What is discrimination? = a sociological term referring to the treatment taken toward or against a person of a certain group that is taken in consideration based on class or category

About the gipsies… Official number gypsies, who live in the Czech republic is about They are nomads They have big families For them is difficult to adapt They haven´t sense for rules and standards They overlook upbringing their children For them is important today – they don´t plan

We are thinking about them We are thinking about them… They have different way of living A low lever of education They are violent ( afraid of them) and they steal They are untidy They are temperament They can´t speak Czech very well They haven´t a discipline and they are vulgar They use the social benefits ( because of children…)

The gipsies are thinking… They aren´t satisfied in the Czech republic They don´t get work  nowadays, they are leaving the Czech republic and they are going to abroad, mostly to Canada and to the UK (Because of them we have to have visas to Canada)

Without words…

How we discriminate them? They haven´t the same chance for education as Czech population Lower financial evaluation  They don´t have a good jobs, so they do unqualified work - For example: men – bricklayer or worker women – charwoman (or they stay at home)

„Gipsies elite“ People (gypsies), who try to live as we -They want to study, to work and to behave polite -They can speak Czech and they want to live on good social level -They are thinking about future BUT: The Czech society doesn´t tolerate it because we don´t trust them

My opinion… I think that the discrimination isn´t so big, we have reason for it -> The gypsies are impolite, vulgar, untidy, agrressive, lazy…I think that the discrimination isn´t so big, we have reason for it -> The gypsies are impolite, vulgar, untidy, agrressive, lazy… Effort should be on each sideEffort should be on each side It need bigger tolerance and patienceIt need bigger tolerance and patience
