OBJECTIVES The learner will be able to identify the characteristics of an active listener. The learner will recognize when they are actively listening. The learner will be able to distinguish non-verbal cues.
INITIATIVES Many people can hear the same instructions, but interpret the information differently.
WHAT IS ACTIVE LISTENING? The act of mindfully hearing and attempting to comprehend the meaning of words spoken by another in a conversation or speech.
