Structural Engineering By: Roccou Knowles For Intro to Civil Engineering

What is a Structural Engineer? Structural engineers analyze, design, plan and research structural components and structural systems to achieve design goals and ensure the safety and comfort of users. They also ensure that structures are built to be strong enough to withstand the different loads like wind, snow, rain, temperature, earthquakes and gravity.

What Do Structural Engineers Do ? Structural Engineers are responsible for the: Structural Design Structural analysis  Buildings  Bridges  Tunnels  Oil gas fields in the sea

Specialties in Structural Engineering Sometimes structural engineers specialize in different fields such as: Bridge Engineering Building Engineering Pipeline engineering Industrial Engineering

Why Did I Pick Structural Engineering?
