Subject and Object Pronouns

Subject Pronouns Remember, a pronoun takes the place of a noun. A subject pronoun is used in the subject of the sentence. Examples: I went to the grocery store yesterday. We bought 3 boxes of cereal. Notice that I and we are both in the subject of the sentence.

Object Pronouns An object pronoun is used in the predicate of a sentence so it comes after the verb. Examples: Alex will go to the grocery store with you. Mom will push the cart for me.

Subject and Object Pronouns Write the pronoun in each sentence and tell if it is a subject or object pronoun. He knows where to find the dolphins. Who saw them first? That dolphin is playing with us. It is swimming under the boat. I could stay here forever.
