Affirmative I studied for two hours. They finished their work yesterday. He took English.

Negative She did not come. Nouf did not me her assignment. They did not finish their work yesterday.

Questions With Past Simple Did I have classes tonight? Yes I did/ No I did not. Did they finish their work yesterday? Yes they did/ No they did not. Did she come ? Yes she did/ No she did not.

Information Questions in Past Simple What, when, which, where, why, who, whom (did) come before the subject What did Haya do last night? She baked a cake. When did Maha come? She came at 8:30

Past Continuous It describes or sets a seine. It is formed by adding ( ing) to regular verbs. Was or were + verb + ing It expresses activities that happens:

Affirmative I was studying at the university. He was working for his father on weekends. She was doing homework during the moment

Negative I was not studying at the university. He was not working for his father on weekends. She was not doing homework during the moment.
