Wavelength – distance between one point on a wave to the nearest point just like it. Frequency – the number of wavelengths that pass by a point in a certain period of time.
As frequency decreases, wavelength increases.
Sources of Electromagnetic Waves The sun emits energy by giving off electromagnetic waves (ultraviolet waves, light waves, and infrared waves. Telescopes capture radiation emitted by stars and planets. Hot objects like stoves, light bulbs, and campfires emit radiation.
