Presentation transcript:

A Senior Project Guide to a perfect score

 You want your audience to focus on your presentation, not what you are wearing  Let’s your audience know that you are serious  Bestows confidence in yourself

 Do’s  Business Casual is the preferred dress  Dress slacks or skirt  Dress blouse  Jackets add a nice touch – possible bonus points  Dress shoes – sandals are permitted if they are considered dressy

 Don’ts  Slacks should not be too tight  Skirts should not be too tight or too short – no more than 2 inches above the knee  Blouses should not show any cleavage or midriff – stand in front of the mirror and raise your arm to test  No flip flops or string sandals  Avoid extra large jewelry, it can be distracting

 Do’s  Wear slacks and a dress button up shirt  Wear a tie  Wear dress socks and dress shoes  Wear a belt  A suit jacket will probably earn you some bonus points.

 Don’ts  Wear school uniform pants; if you wear khaki pants, they must be dress pants  Wear a pull over shirt  Leave your shirt untucked  Wear your pants below your waist  Wear sandals or tennis shoes

 Wrinkles. No, the jacket won't disguise a wrinkled shirt beneath. Yes, people notice wrinkled pants.  Dirty, damaged, or scuffed shoes.  Too casual a look overall. If you would feel comfortable wearing it on a casual date, the beach or a ballgame, it's wrong for a presentation.  Undergarments that do not, uh... stay under.  Strapless or spaghetti strap tops or dresses

 If you have trouble finding the funds to purchase new clothes, keep in mind consignment shops such as the Clothes Closet.  Share. Find someone the same size as you and borrow. Only one of you can present at one time.
