Canadian and World Studies Pathways Geography History Law Native Studies

Program Overview 3 Compulsory Intermediate courses offered at three different levels. 12 senior courses offered at four different levels in four different subject areas. Any senior course qualifies as one of the senior courses that fulfills diploma requirements.

What do I want to do? Go to the Workplace Complete your compulsory applied level credits in Geography & History and Civics. Select the grade 11 ‘E’ level Law course, and/or Select the grade 12 ‘E’ level History course. Go to College Complete your compulsory applied level credits in Geography & History and Civics. Select any ‘O’ and/or ‘M’ level grade 11 or twelve Geography, History, Law or Native Studies course. Go to the University Complete your compulsory academic credits in Geography & History and Civics. Consider the grade 11 ‘O’ Geography or History course. Select any ‘M’ and/or ‘U’ level Geography, History, Law or Native Studies course.

Ontario College Pathways GEOGRAPHY: 6 colleges offer 14 different programs like GIS Technician, Resource Mapping Technician or Environmental Geomatics. HISTORY: 5 colleges offer 6 programs like Applied Museum Studies, Culture and Heritage Site Mgt. or Museum and Gallery Studies. LAW: All colleges offer 215 programs like Advanced Police Studies, Paralegal Studies, or Court and Tribunal Administration. NATIVE STUDIES: 9 colleges offer 31 different programs like Native Child and Family Services, Aboriginal Social Justice or Aboriginal Community Advocacy.

Ontario University Pathways GEOGRAPHY: 83 programs offered at most universities including Environmental & Health Sciences at McMaster, Geographic Analysis at Ryerson or Geography and Aviation at Waterloo. HISTORY: 79 programs at most universities including Canadian Studies at Trent, Concurrent Education at York or History at Queen’s. LAW: 48 programs at most universities including Criminology at Windsor, Criminal Justice & Public Policy at Guelph or Law School at Western. NATIVE STUDIES: 32 different programs at many universities including Anishinaabemowin at Algoma, Indigenous Environmental Science at Trent or Indigenous Social Work at Laurentian.
